isUP-AgrO Project Participates in the 69th Madeira Agricultural Fair

The isUP-AgrO project participated in the 69th Madeira Agricultural Fair, held from 17–19 July 2026 in Santa, Porto Moniz, one of the most important events promoting the agricultural and livestock sector in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.

Organised by the Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and Fisheries, the 2026 edition brought together around 150 exhibitors, representing a 33% increase compared to the previous year and further consolidating the fair as the largest showcase of Madeira’s primary sector. The event welcomed farmers, livestock breeders, beekeepers, floriculture producers, cider and craft beer producers, agri-food companies, agricultural equipment manufacturers, sectoral associations, and a wide range of public and private organisations, reflecting the diversity and dynamism of the region's agricultural sector.

Throughout the event, the isUP-AgrO project was represented at the ISOPlexis Centre stand, where visitors had the opportunity to learn about the project's objectives, activities, and key areas of work. The participation highlighted the project's contribution to promoting innovative solutions for a more sustainable, resilient, and knowledge-based agriculture, supporting the valorisation of agricultural resources and the adoption of practices aligned with the challenges of the green and digital transitions.

The Agricultural Fair also provided an important opportunity for the dissemination and communication of the project's activities and results, enabling direct interaction with farmers, technicians, students, researchers, policymakers, and the public. This engagement fostered the exchange of knowledge and experiences, helped identify the sector's needs, and strengthened the links between scientific research and end users, supporting knowledge transfer and the uptake of innovative agricultural solutions.

The participation of isUP-AgrO in this event forms part of the project's broader strategy to engage with key stakeholders and promote agricultural innovation, contributing to greater project visibility while strengthening collaboration between the scientific community, the agricultural sector, and regional organisations involved in rural and agricultural development.
