Staff Exchange – Administrative and Research Management Improvement

On June 10th and 11th, a team from the University of Madeira (UMa), participated in a short-term staff exchange focused on research and administrative management best practices, in Madrid and Sevilla, as part of Task 4.3 of the isUP-AgrO project.

The exchange began at the CSIC Headquarters in Madrid, where participants explored strategic frameworks and administrative processes used by one of Europe’s most prestigious research institutions.

The visit continued at IRNAS-CSIC in Seville, where the team engaged directly with project management and research support units, deepening their understanding of daily operations, coordination tools, and institutional workflows.

This initiative is a key part of isUP-AgrO's broader goal: to strengthen the ISOPlexis Centre as a European reference in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Technology. Through such exchanges, UMa staff gain practical insight into effective management models, helping to raise institutional capacity and research excellence.
