The ISOPlexis Centre participated in MACARONIGHT 2025

The ISOPlexis Centre, from the University of Madeira, participated in the 2025 edition of the Macaronesia Researchers’ Night – MACARONIGHT, which took place on September 26th, at the Colégio dos Jesuítas, in Funchal.

MACARONIGHT is a European event held as part of the European Researchers' Night, with the main objective of bringing researchers from the Macaronesia region closer to the citizens, especially young ones, by showcasing their work, the benefits it brings to society, and its impact on daily life.

During the event, the ISOPlexis Centre had the opportunity to present its ongoing research projects, including the isUP-AgrO project – Unlocking the Potential for Agricultural Research on an EU Outermost Region: boosting ISOPlexis Centre. This project, coordinated by the University of Madeira and funded under the Horizon Europe programme, aims to strengthen the scientific and technological capacity of the centre, fostering innovation in agricultural research in the EU’s outermost regions. Unlocking the Potential for Agricultural Research on an EU Outermost Region: boosting ISOPlexis Centre. Este projeto, coordenado pela Universidade da Madeira e financiado pelo programa Horizon Europe, visa reforçar a capacidade científica e tecnológica do centro, promovendo a inovação na investigação agrícola em regiões ultraperiféricas da União Europeia.

The participation of ISOPlexis in MACARONIGHT 2025 enabled direct engagement with the local community, raising awareness of the importance of science in sustainable development and encouraging younger audiences to explore the world of research.
