Welcoming Erasmus+ Visitors from the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA)

On the 3rd week of June 2025, we hosted Professor Epaminondas Paplomatas and PhD student Chris Tsoukas from the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA), as part of an Erasmus+ mobility program.

Their visit included a guided tour of the ISOPlexis – Centre for Sustainable Agriculture and Food Technology at the University of Madeira, where been exchanged knowledge on ongoing research and opportunities for collaboration. They also visited Quinta das Vinhas, one of the key pilot areas selected for the implementation of research activities under the isUP-AgrO project.

This provided valuable insight into our applied research approach and the regional agricultural context of Madeira. This visit further reinforces the ISOPlexis Center commitment to internationalization and highlights the importance of building strong scientific networks across Europe.
